Seven Sights in Paris - Chateau de Versailles

Getting there and back can take a little while and there is so much to discover in the Chateau de Versailles that you should definitely plan a whole day. The tour through the beautiful rooms that have seen so much history (see Marie Antoinette’s bedroom and prepare to be dazzled in the Hall of Mirrors) are worth the wait at the entrance.

The famous park that surrounds the castle seems endless and you can easily spent half a day exploring the vast garden and the many smaller buildings that are hidden here and there.

Plan for some time to take a walk through the town of Versailles or enjoy a nice dinner in one of the many restaurants.

How to get there from Pontoise: take the train from Pontoise to Gare St Lazare and then the train to Versailles Rive Droit.
