Seven Sights in Paris - The Eiffel Tower

THE symbol of the French capital is more than 120 year old and 300m high, the Eiffel Tower should be on every visitor’s agenda.

You can have a walk along the Champ de Mars or the bank of the Seine River and admire the steel construction from below or climb the monument (by stairs to level 1 - cheapest and most sportive option - or by elevator to level 2 or 3) and enjoy superb view of the city.

A special highlight is a visit in the evening when thousands of small light make the monument sparkle for a few minutes.

Bring some time if you want to go up the Eiffel Tower since there is usually a rather long queue.

How to get there from Pontoise: take the train from Pontoise to Gare St Lazare, metro 13 to Invalides and then the RER C to Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel.
